The cover car of hotVWs’ February 1975 issue, an iconic Cal Look, aka “The No. 1”: the Greg Aronson/Jim Holmes 1963 Ragtop. Russell Ritchie of Scotland purchased the famous Aronson/Holmes car with the goal of finally restoring it back to its rightful historical grandeur. In July 2019 it was unveiled at the European Bug-In, fully restored, with Jim and Diane Holmes in attendance. The Aronson/Holmes ‘63 had gone full circle.
