Makita BL1815 heavily discharged battery recovery, rejected by battery charger
I've been fixing Makita batteries for about 5 years. I learned a few things along the way. If your battery charger rejects the battery 3 times it will permanently disable the battery pack. The batteries BCM (Battery Control Modules) is a parasitic draw and will eventually discharge your batteries. In my case the cells were fine but the battery was rejected because the voltage was too low. The battery does not know if its bad cell or heavily discharged. You will need an 18V dummy charger to bring it up. I lost batteries in the past by not knowing the 3 rejection rule.
