Restoration of the GAZ-63 car. GAZ-63 is a Soviet truck produced at the Gorky Automobile Plant from 1947 to 1968. GAZ-63 was equipped with a frame structure, and also had an all-wheel-drive with a switchable front axle (two cardan-shafts to the drive axles and an intermediate one between the gearbox and transfer case). The truck was installed with a six-cylinder gasoline engine with a working volume of 3.485 litres and a 70 hp at 2800 rpm. The carrying capacity of the car was 2 tons, while the maximum speed was 65 km/h.
In this video, we will talk about a car that one of the craftsmen managed to restore. Driving along around the villages, the men saw a truck in this condition.

He decided to buy it and restore it. The car was dismantled to the screw, the entire restoration process took almost three years. Initially, this GAZ-63 had a kung, but it was removed and it was decided to make a regular body. First, the men made a platform for it and only then it was fixed. The body was taken from the GAZ-53. It was cut first, then the components were restored and the GAZ-63 was assembled.
Here is the result of the work - a completely restored GAZ-63.
