In this guide, I will take you through the refurbishment process, starting with how to remove kerb rash and repair scratches on your Aluminium / Aluminum wheels to get them back in A1 shape ready to be painted.
This video PART 1 will include:
Cleaning the wheel to get rid of grease, wax and dirt and why this is important
Effective ways to remove things like sticky residue left over from balancing weights
How to properly sand out and FILL kerb rash, corrosion and scratches.
The steps required to sand it back properly with went n dry sandpaper (and what grades to use), to leave a perfect finish ready for painting
Then, move on to PART 2, which will include:
Final preparation of surfaces ready to paint
PPE to protect your health
Applying high build primer
Sanding back after the primer
Applying Base (colour) and Clear Coat (lacquer) coats
Top Tip – A product I use to keep the wheels looking nicer for longer
