Vintage sock knitting machine refurbishment Part 3 - Cleaning the needles
I've just bought this vintage sock knitting machine and as you can see it's definitely seen better days!
I'm going to give it some TLC and see if I can bring it back to life and actually knit some socks with it.
These lovely old circular sock knitting machines have to fantastic history attached to them and It's such a shame if they end up on the scrap heap.
I've never used one of these machines, so this is all very new to me, but I'm so excited to get started.
I'd be really grateful for any tips or information on how to restore it or any parts I may need.
This is part 3 where I'm cleaning up the needles... I have ordered some new ones, but they will take a while to arrive and I just wanted to clean up the old ones as a back-up incase the new ones don't fit... It would be terrible not to be able to test the machine because I couldn't find the right size needles.
