How to Repair Containers, Vehicles, and Structures (Quick Tutorial) | Death Stranding
During your playthrough of Death Stranding, you will constantly need to battle against the grueling effects of timefall and heavy storms that will degrade the conditions of basically everything you can interact within the game, but thankfully you can repair most of this things. Let's start with the most important: your cargo. Any cargo container that is meant to be delivered can be repaired with the use of a Container Repair Spray. You can fabricate the spray on any location that has joined the Chiral Network using the terminal and going to the fabricate menu. Once you have it in your inventory, select it from your Tools menu by pressing and holding the right Directional Pad button. Once selected press L2 to bring
out the can and now you have 2 options: the first one is press R2 to spray whatever is in front of you, such as any cargo that is standing on the ground (which is very uncomfortable and I really don't recommend it) and the second one is to press the square button to point the can towards your equipped cargo and then press L2. It doesn't matter if you have the cargo in your arms or your back, the can will always magically repair any container damage, no matter how bad it is, but remember, the spray won't repair the actual damage of the package, only the container damage, so when you see that your packages are all rusty, spray them once in a while. A full can of the spray should be enough for a quick journey through timefall but it all depends on the distance you're traveling and how many timefall storms you encounter.
Other items that you can carry such as weapons, grenades, climbing anchors, ladders, etc, can't be repaired by the spray or any other method, you need to fabricate them.
Vehicles can be repaired but it is a little bit tricky. Hop into the vehicle, head to the nearest safehouse and place the vehicle on top of the elevator, go to the delivery terminal, select garage, select the vehicle, store vehicle and confirm. Now enter the terminal, go to the garage and now you will see your vehicle completely restored. Again, don't waste your spray cans on the vehicles because they won't work, only on containers.
If we talk about structures, I don't think you really need to worry about them. In order to repair they need to take a lot of damage from storms, which is very slow, very very slow, and once you have upgraded them to level 3 their timefall resistance is boosted, so I really don't think you will have to worry about any of them, perhaps until the endgame.
That is all you need to know for know about repairing stuff in Death Stranding. If you find another nice trick be sure to share it in the comment section down below but, thank you for watching and keep enjoying the game.
