Flight Systems Industrial Products, also known as FSIP, located in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, is a leading remanufacturer of controls for electric and gas-powered vehicles.
"Flight Systems began manufacturing solid-state control relays in 1968. These products were used in the aerospace industry, primarily for airport runway strobe lights, but some of the modules also flew aboard the Apollo missions at Skylab. We now service and provide electronics for the forklift, golf cart, and aerial lift industries. We decided to keep the name Flight Systems to reflect on our heritage."
Flight Systems has evolved into expert control remanufacturers, focusing primarily on forklifts, golf carts, aerial lifts, scrubber-sweepers, scooters, personnel carriers, mining cars, go-karts, aviation ground support, and electric boats. FSIP works with many of the leading vehicle equipment manufacturers and distributors, including: Hyster, Yale, TVH, Crown, Komatsu, Rapid Parts, Yamaha, JLG, Clark, Mitsubishi-Caterpillar, Raymond, and Nissan.
We have also developed alliances with many of the original control manufacturers. We are the exclusive authorized service center for Curtis controllers, and the exclusive remanufacturer for Kollmorgen Danaher motion controls and drives. FSIP is an authorized remanufacturer for Sevcon products. We are also the exclusive North American remanufacturing facility for Navitas controls. Flight Systems remanufactures over 6,000 part numbers, including: DC and AC controls, converters, accelerators, control handles and joysticks, battery discharge indicators, vehicle control managers, dash displays, accessory cards, battery chargers, and combustion engine controls. These products can be sent to our facility to be remanufactured with a fast turnaround or, if the product is available, it can be purchased from our stock for immediate delivery, and the best part is remanufactured controls cost 30 to 60 percent less than new controls.
"Remanufacturing is not the same as repairing. Every control is analyzed by a group of certified electronic technicians. Each control goes through a complete disassembly process. After it is upgraded to the latest OEM specification, it goes through a low-current bench test, then the controls move on to a final load test where they're tested at the maximum current levels to ensure quality and performance before returning back to the customer. All controls are backed by a one-year comprehensive warranty."
