Hi

IMPORTANT:

IF YOU ARE DOING A REPAIR ON A CAN WIRE (CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK), APPLY THE SAME PRINCIPLES, BUT ENSURE THE FOLLOWING:

* THE WIRE IS LEFT WITH THE SAME LENGTH AS THE ORIGINAL
SO IF YOU CUT 10 CM OF DAMAGED WIRE, REPLACE IT WITH A NEW 10CM WIRE.

* TRY TO MAINTAIN THE CAN HIGH AND CAN LOW TWISTED AS THEY ORIGINALLY WERE, WITH EACH COMPLETE TWIST MEASURING ABOUT 2 CM.

* AT THE VICINITY OF THE REPAIR, TRY NOT TO LEAVE MORE THAN 5 CM UNTWISTED.

* INSIDE OR OUTSIDE THE CAR, I ALWAYS RECOMMEND TO SOLDER THE REPAIRS MADE ON THE CAN WIRES.

* IF YOU NEED TO REPAIR BOTH OF THE TWISTED WIRES, TRY TO LEAVE THE REPAIR SECTIONS STAGGERED.

Hi

I do apologize, but when recording the video I completely forgot the above...
Anyway, in this video I demonstrate how I do wire repairs.
I am not in any way, saying this is the only and/or the correct way, is the way I have been doing for years, and as far as I am aware, still to come a repair that have failed.

Please feel free to suggest anything different, or to point any flaws on the way I do it.
