Dual Battery Design & Install; Modification for Any Car or Truck, Shown on 2004 to 2008 F-150 Trucks

Learn how I install two Group 34 Batteries into the engine compartment in stock OEM battery location by removing the stock Group 65 Battery and Battery Tray. I make my own Battery Tray and new Battery Hold-downs. I use military style Battery Terminals and Heavy Duty Lugs. I use a Battery Isolation Solenoid controlled by an Ignition Key Powered Relay so that when the key is “ON” the Dual Batteries are connected in parallel. In addition to the Ignition Key Powered Relay, I also have manual switch in the circuit to allow the driver to keep the Dual Batteries isolated, if desired. I have two Voltage Gauges (one for each Battery) to indicate individual battery voltage that are turned “ON” and “OFF” by the truck’s stay-alive current. The Voltage Gauges are “ON” with the vehicle radio and power windows, which turn “ON” with the vehicle Ignition Key and remain on for a timed 20 minutes (or when a door is opened).
