This owner is currently winning our 'longest UK distance traveled' award as he drove from Glasgow to Bristol (7 hours each way) not once, but twice.
(Once for the RACP Check & Report):
(Then a second time, 6 months later, for the actual RACP Repair & Reinforcement):
We've had customers in Aberdeen send cars to us as well as visit us, but this customer is currently leading the UK distance challenge.
Back in 2013 we had a customer DRIVE to and from Norway for our Underside Restoration. Watch the video here:
So back to this 2002 E46 M3 RACP video......
You can see that it was suffering for many cracks on the RACP and in several places.
Not just single cracks or single spot weld failures but multiple cracks meeting up and causing sizeable RACP fatigue.
Luckily at Redish Motorsport we designed our RACP Reinforcement Plate Kit to help strengthen these weakened areas of the RACP.
You can even buy this yourself as a DIY kit on our website.
Each kit comes with our unique 16-page highly detailed technical instructions with colour pictures and torque settings too:
We also had to carry out Internal Crack Repair work inside the car (Underneath the Rear Seat Panel) due to finding the now-common cracks in the MIG Welds of the Upper Front Threaded Receivers.
Once we'd taken care of the fabrication work and corrosion removal and chemical treatment work, we could move on to the protection stage.
This is where we carefully apply Etch Primer, High Build Primer, Sprayable Seam Sealer, Top Coat Colouring, and Cavity Wax.
All these important protection stages ensure an excellent resilience against water/salts/corrosion risks, but also a stunning visual appearance.
Once the car is rebuilt either with the original components or the customer's choice of new components, we then carry out a full Brake Fluid Bleed, full Digital Wheel Alignment, a 12-mile road test, and the important vehicle cleaning.
This really is a drive-in drive-out service which we've honed since 2011 and truly take care of all aspects of the RACP work so you can simply continue enjoying the E46 M3 for what it is.
