How to restore a piece of furniture
back to its former glory!
Today you will see Barbara Zella,
my dealer from Oristano,
restore this old cupboard
that will go in Giovanni's house,
of which you can find the
full episode on Discovery +!
First of all she removed the paint
using Magic Paint paint stripper
to remove the old shellac.
Then she moved on to cleaning
of the brass parts,
soaking them in ammonia
and scraping off the dirt
with a steel wool.
To give light, she used
Rocher Magic Paint, my warm hazelnut,
on the inside,
and finally a good coat
of the Leggendaria Wax Magic Paint
and a touch of Restauratore to
nourish the wood thoroughly.
This sideboard now
is as good as new and will look great
in its new modern setting!
