Volkswagen 1500 Saloon was produced in the years 1968-1972. The first version had swivel wheels and is quite rare. I got this model as a gift together with the superfast version from a friend from Belgium. Both models appear in the movie. Every child wanted a version of "Herbie" the hero of the cult film for children and teenagers. The owner of this model as a child himself created this version.The most difficult part of the renovation was getting the color of a later Volkswagen, which I made based on the metallic paint Gold.
