Chevy Cobalt Water Leak Inside Passenger Footwell Fix

Brynn got into her car to find a small swamp formed in the passenger footwell of her Chevy Cobalt. Water leaks are a bit scary to find inside of your car! We are not sure if this was due to heavy rain or the fact that Chevy designed the AC drain to point straight out of the firewall allowing water to also drip back towards the seam where the drain meets the firewall (can you tell I'm throwing shade). According to google this is a fairly common issue. We went with an easy fix first and will investigate whether we have a recurring problem.

Tools:
-Flat head screw driver

This should be the same for 2005-2010 Chevrolet Cobalt

Materials:
-Radiator hose (1" preferred, hoping 3/4" will stretch over it)
-Equivalent heater hose clamp

Do not over tighten the clamp and snap the plastic drain.

We haven't actually fixed this yet, but we are giving you the instructions needed to fix it yourself.

I'll update this description once we have double checked the sizing on that tubing.
