Windows 10 on M1 Mac Using Parallels - Should You Get 8GB or 16GB of RAM?

For pretty much every possible scenario, I generally recommend an 8GB RAM M1 Mac. However, after using and testing Windows 10 ARM running on Parallels on my very own M1 MacBook Air, I have come to the conclusion that 16GB would be the best option.

Just to simply run the Parallels software uses roughly 4GB of RAM, and most people recommend having at least 4GB of RAM available within your virtual machine. This leaves you with almost zero "spare" RAM with which to use in macOS. It just goes to show that even with the super fast and capable RAM on Apple silicon, it still can't beat the raw requirement for increased RAM that most virtual machines demand (although it still does a great job for an 8GB RAM machine).
