Rust is the enemy! Hey, thanks for tuning in... I thought I'd do a quick video for the people who wanted to see some bodywork -type stuff. This time we've got a sweet Toyota FJ45 in the shop for some surgery to the bottom half of the truck, which has been patched-up before and is falling apart pretty badly now... We're going to fab up some quick patch panels and weld them on and do a little body and paint to make it look nice again.
These Toyotas are really cool and I've never actually seen the pickup-truck version before Neil brought this one over for me to have a look at... It's difficult to find a body shop that wants to do rust repair like this, so I get to meet a lot of great folks who are happy to find someone to tidy up their favorite rigs.
Anyway, this is a video showing how you can approach a relatively simple rust repair that should last a long time. It is not a restoration and should not be taken as such; just a look at how you can really clean up a car in a relatively short time with some simple welding and hammering and sanding and whatnot.
