PATRICK ASSEMBLES THE GERMAN TAPPING MACHINE
Patrick reassembles a fully refurbished German tapping machine after taping holes with it for we think about a decade and a half now.
The machine is all ready to go, only Patrick is awaiting a switch arrival that should come in this week. The VFD, motor and the tapping machine are all mounted and ready to go.
Patrick will film this tapping machine tapping predrilled holes in the coming week while he runs the then completed machine through some testing before returning it to service in the Workshop Area.
ALBRECHT DRILL CHUCK REBUILD
New way to disassemble an Albrecht chuck made easier and lessons in drill and tap chuck rebuilding.
Albrecht chucks are made in Germany and if you are not aware of them, they are the world best made machine chucks. The company is the creator of the precision drill and tapping chuck so Patrick shares the company's smallest chuck 1.5mm maximum capacity), however he is actually refurbishing a larger chuck (3.0mm maximum capacity).

Shop Adventures is a Weekly YouTube Series filmed at a home mostly converted into a full machining and finishing operation located in a small Mojave Desert California Town named Yucca Valley.
This series follows the adventures of two childhood friends as they rebuild vintage precision micro-machines and tools that will allow them the ability to make their own designed product into a reality but only after they stopped doing work for others on these same machines, with these same precision tools for the past several decades.
