Map Sensor P0107 and P0108 | How to Test and Replace

A map sensor measures barometric pressure. This pressure is then converted into an electrical signal for the ECM. Unfortunately, you'll need a very sophisticated scan tool to measure the barometric pressure via kilopascals (kpa). However, you can test the sensor via the amount of volts at idle. We show you how to do so.

Specs for this vehicle:
Volts at idle: 1.4 - 1.8v (or 20-47kpa)
P0107: Volts under or equal to .6v (or 13kpa)
P0108: Volts at or above 4.4v (or 120kpa)
