Where to find and get moving company tariffs is as easy as a simple Google search. JUst Google "moving company tariff" and a couple of good companies will appear.
But what is a moving company tariff? Well here is what the government says it is and what it's to contain:
Basically, you can think of a moving tariff as a menu or list of prices that you charge for your the different services that you provide as well as any contingencies.
A moving tariff also tells your customer what your arbitration process is, how much you charge for valuation protection, as well as other useful information.
To be a licensed and insured mover you have to have a moving company tariff published and available for your customers.
Many of the mover's associations will automatically attach your company to your state's tariff when you sign up. There may be charges or other stipulations so please contact them.
AMSA is also another organization that will attach you to their federal tariff when you become a member.
Of course, you can choose not to be attached or use these tariffs and go it alone. IN that case, there are good companies that will guide you through the process for a few hundred dollars. As long as it follows the guidelines of the country and state you're good.
