Defender story | Clunk, Clack - Strange Noises from the Front Axle
We've all had mysterious noises emanating from somewhere in our Landy at one time or another. This time it was a clack/cluck like a hammer tapping on steel during our holiday on Corsica... Every time we turned a corner to the right it would clunk or clack. A bit like a hammer tapping on steel. We checked numerous times en route but everything looked in order and the car just kept going...
We never did find the cause until our return home where I dismantled the swivel...
