How to do Tesla Brake maintenance, yearly service, repairs, lubrication: READ DESCRIPTION FOR UPDATE
UPDATE/CORRECTION: The copper lubricant should only be used between the back of the brake pads and their shims. Between the caliper piston and the pads, use the silicone ceramic. This clarification is in the updated service manuals and was pointed out to me by a viewer-- whose comment was auto-expired by YouTube before I could verify it. Thank you, whoever you were!
Disclaimer: NOT A MECHANIC - do this at your own risk and only if you are capable.
That said, this is the routine I follow every time I swap my winter/summer tires on my Model S and you should ALSO be doing regular brake service (at least yearly) on your Tesla. It is still a car-- not just a magical electric spaceship-- and it needs to be MAINTAINED like a car.
