I am a serious collector of vintage Cadillac Eldorados and personally have seven (7) in my collection. Due to the absence of commercially available solutions I began restoration of critical components for my own classic car collection that evolved into me assisting other collectors with valuable restored items while at the same time making new Eldorado friends all over the world.
In this video I am presenting the Original Vintage Period Correct 1976 Cadillac Eldorado Rochester QuadraJet Carburetor as its being performance tuned on the specialized Rochester bench test equipment. This is the typical process provided for the SHOW QUALITY units that are pre-set on the test bench for PERFORMANCE TUNING specifically for the 500ci 1976 Cadillac Eldorado Engine the is the normal altitude Federal Edition as opposed to the California Edition Eldorados supporting the smog configuration. This is a ONE (1) YEAR ONLY DESIGN unique and specific to the 1976 Eldorado and is NOT for the DeVille. This SHOW QUALITY unit is presented with the original period correct Rochester Body having been Cadmium DiChromate surface treated body and is further differentiated as the Federal Edition as it does not have the zinc plated brightwork that is configured for the California Specific Edition Eldorado,.. as the Needle Jet setting is dissimilar to the Needle Jets used in the Federal Edition Rochester Quadrajet 429ci engines that were delivered in 1967 for the Cadillac Eldorado... hence making this carburetor unique and Identifiable as an ELDORADO SPECIFIC FEDERAL EDITON Carburetor .
I also provide fully RESTORED SHOW QUALITY ORIGINAL VINTAGE CADILLAC EXHAUST MANIFOLD whereby this restoration process provides more than merely an attractive part,.. rather the intent is to provide a reliable defect free exhaust manifold from a CASTING INTEGRITY & METALLURGICAL STANDPOINT, so as to provide the ultimate sound for the serious classic car enthusiast. This includes the resurfacing of the head mounting portals and the evacuation portal having new replaced studs and brass nuts and a climatized platinum surface treatment that reveals the integrity of the zero defect cast body and provides corrosion resistance.
The Massive Cadillac Vintage Engines 429ci - 472ci - 500ci 425ci are notorious for cracking, particularly the RH exhaust manifold. The cracks are increasingly expanding arising from hairline cracks that are NOT VISIBLE during initial inspection even in a cleaned and surface treated unit,.. nor are defects apparent during installation. Obviously if the Exhaust Manifold is rusted and grime covered,.. defects such as pits and cracks are even more so NOT VISIBLE.... hence a visual inspection is inadequate for the Serious Cadillac Enthusiast attempting to restore the car back to the factory original engine sound level
I also provide comprehensive SHOW QUALITY RESTORATION of all the GM Cadillac Power Motion ACTUATION SEAT MECHANISM ASSEMBLIES from 1959-1978 ,.. including the 4-Way Bucket Seat Variant - the 2-Way Bucket Seat Variant and the 6-Way Power Seat mechanism for the Strato-Bench Seat.
I also provide a comprehensive complete restoration the vintage Power Antennas all the way to the 5 gear movement cavity, I also restore the original vintage Power Door Lock Actuator/Activator Solenoids, Power Window Switches, Power Actuation Mechanisms for the Bucket Seats and the Strato-Bench Seat and Standard Seating.
I also restore the GM Cadillac Original Vintage Steering Wheels with the WoodGrain InLay on the front face perimeter from 1969 through 1978 including the one (1) year only specialty 1969 Rim-Blow steering wheel that is actuated by squeezing the inside perimeter of the steering wheel ring having the embedded Rim-Blow Horn Switch as opposed to the conventional Horn Pad design. I reproduce my own Rim-Blow Horn Switch just as I reproduce the WoodGrain InLay in order to provide this difficult and elegant restoration to "Serious Classic Cadillac Collectors". I also restore the GM Cadillac Original Vintage Steering Wheels from 1959 through 1968 having the (2) two tone colorizing with the chrome accent pieces and GM Cadillac Steering Columns from 1959-1978 including the Tilt & Telescopic Variant with specific expertise in the 1967-1968 T&T column.
