If the pressure washer is working jerkily, it is possible that the plastic pump bypass valves have become leaky. Repair of the pressure washer is also necessary if there is a vibration and it gives weak pressure. New plastic valves are not always available, so I polish them with a paste of my own making. If the high pressure washer is running jerky, there could be several reasons:
- Water is leaking through the body or hose due to leaks;
- the filter on the inlet pipe could be clogged, and the holes on the nozzle were clogged;
- the valves are no longer fully functional;
the piston rod of the chip shutoff lever is jammed;
- the spring has weakened, so it does not return the lever to the required position when the pressure drops.
If the washer has stopped generating pressure, the following causes of malfunction are possible:
- the water supply tap is blocked;
- the valves are clogged with debris;
- there is air in the pump.
First of all you need to flush the filters. If the situation has not changed, then the spring could be loose, or the stem seal on the bypass itself is damaged.
If the car wash doesn't shut off:
- The micro motor switch contacts may be oxidized;
If the car wash turns on and off:
- Wires are oxidized or damaged;
- The main motor has failed;
- the winding in the motor has ruptured or overheated;
- The gauge-type valve is jammed.
