Ross Steering Box COMPLETE REBUILD (step by step) w/ 7/8" Sector Shaft (PART 2)
How to fully rebuild willys jeep ross steering box with 7/8" sector shaft. The install requires bushings, seal, worm gear, steering gear box, top cover, side cover and shims. The video goes over the torque specs for the top and side cover.

Components required for install include:
STEERING GEAR BOX TUBE & WORM GEAR 40-1/2"
FITS 41-48 MB, GPW, CJ-2A UP TO SERIAL # 178631
Comes tube and worm gear. Runs from the top of your steering where your wheel presses on to the bottom of your gear box. Proper for your early Ross style steering gear box. Measures 40-1/2" in length.

During the harsh winter months in Canada we decided to take the Willys apart, fix a few parts, and get it back on the road. Then repeat this the next winter. During the winter of 2021 we rebuilt the brakes and basic engine upgrades (spark plugs, water pump, distributor, ignition coil, etc.). THIS winter of 2022 we are tackling to replace the transmission and transfercase but finding lots of other problems deep within the engine.
