How to Fix a Radiator Leak. DIY Radiator Recore

Replace the radiator core in order to fix leaks or blockages in your car radiator.
You may want to try this yourself, if you like the challenge of a new task or want to save a bit of money.
If you have a standard radiator then replacing it or using a radiator engineering company to recore it for you is probably easier to be honest. But if you can't get what you want or want to make a custom design, or you fancy the challenge of recoring it yourself then go ahead, it is not that difficult. It is very like a plumbing job with copper pipes. Just be careful that you dont apply too much heat and loosen up pipe joints or core joints that you don't want disturbed.
Although I didn't use a water tank to dip the radiator into, some guys do this to keep the core cooler. It doesn't make a huge difference if you don't go too mad with the blow torch. A water tank might be useful to check for any leaks during a pressure test but then you need to block off the oil cooler pipes completely. So I just did a water leak test which was easier. Take a look at the video. Doing this fixed the water leak in my radiator.
