1996 to 2002 Caravan Drivers CV Axle Step by Step Change Part 2 of 4

This is how I changed my CV Axle on my 2002 Grand Caravan Sport Mini. Like all automotive work, it can be dangerous as the job requires you to remove tires and crawl under the van. So this video is for entertainment on how I changed my CV Axle. I am not a professional mechanic so if you decide to perform anything you see in this video you do it at your own risk and claim all liability associated with doing your own automotive repairs of any kind.

So with that said here's the details of things I used to do the job.
Part Used:
- CV Drive Axle CarQuests or Advance Auto Part No. NCV12535 ~ $75.00.
- Trans-axle Seal Drive Works Part No. S-3459. Other possible part numbers are: Timken TM3459S, ATP TO-55, CHR 15835, CR15835, 24-11-1-205-984, 90311-40002, 15835CHR, 40X58X10, R03863, P40X58X8. Always check part numbers before you purchase them. Approx. $6.00 to $14.00.
Tools Used:
- 4" X 4" X 12" Block of wood or wheel chock.
- Jack Stand.
- 3/4" 3ft Pry Bar.
- 12" Flat Carpenters Pry Bar or Carpenters Nail Puller.
- 1/2" Drive Torque Wrench capable of 150 to 180 ftlb's.
- 1/2" Breaker Bar.
- Large 4-5 lb. hammer.
- 1/2" 32mm Deep Socket.
- 18mm Combination Wrench.
- 17mm or 19mm combination Wrench.
- Large Needle Nose Pliers.
- Lug-nut Wrench.
- Repair Manual for your vehicle, for torque specs.
- Hydraulic jack capable of lifting your cars weight, I used a 2 1/4 Ton jack.
- Drip pan.
- Shop Rag.
- 3/4" x 3" x 18" Board for seating transmission seal.
Optional Tools Used:
- 18mm Ratchet Combination Wrench.
- 3ft x 5ft carpet or kiddy mat.
Consumables Used:
- Paper Towels.
- Brake Cleaner.
- Multi-Purpose Grease.
- Penetrating Oil.
- Automatic Transmission Fluid for your van.
