No nonsense headlight revival from start to finish using wet/dry sandpaper and a final superfine rubbing compound.
I used a simple silver polishing liquid 'Silvo Silver Polish'. This worked a treat instead of buying more expensive abrasives).
NOTE: Do not lacquer the finish with spray on clear coat (I made this mistake once). The heat from the headlight soon ruins the finish.
The smoother the headlight the more clarity you achieve. Applying car wax for plastics is however a good idea as it protects from yellowing caused by UV rays from the sun.
